Monday 12th April
Hula Hawaiian Day
Today will be a hula load of fun, we have so many activities planned. We will be starting off with, of course, making garlands and hula hula skirts. Then we will create our own home made juice cocktails and Hawaiian pizza. To finish off the day we will enjoy lots of group games including limbo and a range of inflatable ball games.
Tuesday 13th April
Today we will be getting very messy making our own ancient pottery bowls, 3D pyramids. We will also be practising writing our names in hieroglyphics, designing pharaoh masks and other themed creative activities.
Wednesday 14th April
Vive La France
We will start our day with a delicious French breakfast, whilst learning some basic French words. We will bring out our creative sides with water painting, outdoor activities and designing our very own Eiffel Tower. We will then say “Au revoir” to the day with the making of a traditional French onion soup.
Thursday 15th April
Today will be a fun filled day of baking and the designing of our very own chef’s hat, children are encouraged to bring in some things that could help personalise their hat for our own mini bake off. We are going to perform some food art challenges, this will be centred around a child led approach with a set time and fun task! (We promise we are not copying the Bake Off)
Friday 16th April
As a nation we welcome lots of people from around the world this summer for the EURO 2021 tournament, Boris has been a little bit busy this year so it is our job to create the publicity campaign for visitors! We will be designing posters to share everything great about our country, culture and people. This will be a hybrid activity with aid from staff but a task that the children will be our key thinkers on, how we can best complete this important mission.
